In Sumy, the commission began checking shelters in educational institutions

Today, the commission began work to check the shelters available in educational institutions of the communal form of ownership of the Sumy city territorial community for their compliance with current standards, rules and norms. The press service of the Sumy City Council reports this on July 4.

The corresponding commission was created by order of the mayor Oleksandr Lysenko. It was headed by Deputy Mayor Stanislav Polyakov. The commission included experts from the Department of Education and Science, heads of the Department for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of the Population, the Department for Cooperation with Law Enforcement Bodies and Defense Work, an expert on technical inspection of buildings and structures, a design engineer, representatives of the Main Department of the Emergency Situations of Ukraine in Sumy Region, SBU Office in Sumy Region, Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy Region, deputy of the city council.

The commission is tasked with checking the compliance of existing shelters in educational institutions of the community with current standards and norms. Acts drawn up on the basis of reviews must be submitted by the commission to the head of the community.

Oleksandr Lysenko stated during the apparatus meeting that the main criterion for determining the format of the educational process from September 1 will be the safety of children. And in the event that there is even a 1% danger for schoolchildren, education will take place online.
